Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
The tenth amendment gives the states or the people all of the power (the anti-federalists came up with this idea), except what the constitution gives the federal government and what the constitution says the states can’t do. The states laws rule unless the constitution otherwise. Expressly is a good word that is used for this amendment. This is used to give all power to the states. Article I, section 8, clause 18, goes along with the tenth amendment. This denies implied power and uses the necessary and proper clauses to make all laws. The federalist paper 44, written by James Madison, stated that without necessary and proper clause, the constitution would be a dead letter.

This video talks about Mississippi lawmakers who are fighting for their states rights given to them by the tenth amendment. They are trying to pass a bill, but there is some controversy over it. The speaker says that we can be united with our military operations, our flag, etc., but we do not have to be united in our social programs, gun control laws and so on.
I like this picture for the tenth amendment because it has each states flag inside of each state. This shows that the power not delegated to the U.S., are reserved to the states.
